Learn by Heart
The devastation in Japan has once again impressed upon me the need to learn by heart Bible verses, hymns, and my catechism and to diligently teach them to my children. We've had several older friends who ended up with Alzheimer's disease. I often think about how blessed they were that they learned Bible verses and hymns as children, because they had God's word even when many of their other memories were gone. Thanks for another reminder.
