Cran-Lemon Water

This is Cran-Lemon Water that my friend Kathy showed Amy and I how to make last week when she came to visit us for the day. Amy decided she would call it, "Cranberry Lemonade."
Both of us call it delicious.

And it is healthy for you. It is suppose to help your liver and lower your cholesterol.

Here is what you need to make it:

Boil a bag of cranberries with 4 cups of water until they pop and then turn off the stove. Strain the berries* and you'll have 4 cups of cranberry juice.

Take 1 cup of cranberry juice and pour into a 2 quart pitcher. Add 1/4 tsp Stevia and the juice of one lemon (about 1/4 cup). Lemon juice in the bottle does work, but having tried both ways, I like the fresh lemon juice better. Now fill with water to make 2 quarts.

You can drink it right then, but I found it tastes better if it sits in the refrigerator and gets nice and cold. It really is quite refreshing. Enjoy! And don't forget to stock up on those bags of cranberries this fall when they are cheap!

*Put the berries into a blender (Kathy uses a Vita Mix) with 4 more cups of water and blend till will blended. Strain through a fine sieve and get more juice to make more Cran-Lemon Water. This Cran-Lemon Water will be cloudier but I've not noticed a different taste.
