Elephant's Child wrote about loving windmills. I thought she might like to see this picture.

I was standing at the Wartburg Castle overlooking Erfurt, windmills in the distance, and beautiful fall colors in the surrounding forest.

I'm not sure you get the full effect in this picture, but I sure remember it as one of the most breathtaking views.

I think you would have loved seeing the windmills too Elephant's Child.

Gorgeous picture!

Since there are so many windmills all together, are they being used for wind power?

Perhaps something we Americans ought to consider as alternative energy?

Those wind turbines look positively unearthly off in the distance in the haze like that. I love it!

Of course I'll walk with you next week. No shame necessary. those turbines were far off, but way up at the Wartburg castle, we could see so far. Really, the printed picture is much better.
